Ford offers a standard-range battery pack that provides 230 miles of EPA-estimated range and an extended-range battery pack that provides 320 miles. All models support Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 charging. A 110-volt connection is fine for topping off, but a full charge will take between four and six days. A 220-volt connection takes between 10 and 15 hours. You can cut that down to 8 hours with the Ford Charge Station Pro, and at a DC fast-charging station, you can charge from 10% to 80% in about 35 to 40 minutes.
The 2023 Rivian R1T has a starting MSPP of $74,800 and is eligible for $3,750 in federal tax incentives. Rivian offers three battery sizes that provide ranges of 270, 350, and 400 miles, respectively. Note that the largest option is slated for late availability and was not yet offered as of this writing. The R1T supports all charging types as well. Charging times are comparable, but the Rivian is a bit slower overall. A full Level 2 charge, for instance, takes about 12 hours.
